Morning Adrian - some initial photos - I have several folders at various rebuild stages - most for my information as we put things back - not good photos so I will dredge some better ones up & send. I had forgotten that we have also replaced the windows and rebedded the fore hatch, I have no doubt missed a number of other items but the repaint photo shows things pretty well. The head liner we used is New Zealand fabric by AUTEX ( autex.co.nz) - f/peak & 1/4 berth area are FLEX 2 in Beige - Flex 2 is designed for wet areas and is fairly woolley for better insulation in the 1/4 berth areas - the web site colours are nothing like reality, the main cabin is VERTIFACE Velour finish in Sandz colour - a lot better than the old mouldy ribbed carpet that was used. as I have 4 lockers on port side rather than berth, storage is no problem - we added two shelves and 3 pit lockers under the bottom shelf when the dinette was put in - under the seats are also lockers - so we actually gained locker space as well as opening up the cabin. The dinette is polished Tasmanian Oak and drops to form a small double bed. For racing I leave the table off and the hole left is good for spinnakers. I will be making a single berth width filler piece for a race we are doing at Easter - also adding pipe cot above the dinette. The race we are going in is http://www.threepeaks.orgau/index.php based on the English original version started by Tilman. Looking forward to seeing images for other UFO - always looking to pinch good ideas - at the moment changing the reefing set up to bring all lines back to the cockpit rather than the small winches ahead of the companion way to make it easier for short handed work. the attached are of the new head liner - colour is not too bad - soft beige in the main cabin with a more white in other areas such as 1/4 berths. there is still window trim to go on - about 1 1/2 inch wide painted to match the bulkhead. the mast wiring will be behind a fabric covered panels secured to a polished Tasmanian Oak trim strip - should look good when finished hopefully by mid January. I elected to place the headliner direct onto the glass so as to preserve that little bit extra head room. I have replaced the fluoro lights and added some halogen reading lights and have some red LED lights to install in the cabin as general lighting for night racing / sailing.
